Wisconsin Lions Camp Staff Alumni Association strives to support the principles and efforts of the Wisconsin Lions Camp and the Wisconsin Lions Foundation thereof.  We offer a network for past and present camp staff in an effort to preserve affiliation with alumni staff and with Wisconsin Lions Camp.

Local Lions Club Connection

As Staff Alumni, we have a unique opportunity to support Camp efforts by becoming involved in our local Lions Clubs.  We would like to recruit alumni to participate by giving presentations at club meetings.  When a request is made, someone from the association board will contact members in the area to coordinate a presentation to your local club.  A power point presentation with handouts will be available. Use your camp experiences to spread the word to Lions Members and potential WLC campers and staffers!

2008 Labor Day Retreat Weekend

* Doug and Renee Forsythe and family will be your weekend host family

* Join in on Jay and Aaron's CAMPETITION again this year.  Watch out for possible fear factor !

* We have a new twist on the Sunday night campfire this year.  Enter the Alumni Talent Show by signing up on Friday night.  Do it on your own, with your family, with your campetition team or any other group.

* Friday Night sign up: Be sure to sign up for your Saturday night cook-out meal site.  New this year, be sure to check out the other sign ups for staffed activities throughout the weekend.

* Check your registration form for an early bird discount, an alumni member discount and check the box to send in your membership renewal right along with your registration form.

 

Association Funds

Here are some of the ways your dues contribute to camp support.

* Belts Ice Cream is delivered to WLC summer staff by a board representative every July.

* At our annual meeting we will review a wish list from camp and vote to provide an item or items requested on the list.

* If our Brick goal has not been met by our Labor Day Retreat, we will discuss the option of utilizing association funds to complete the goal.

* If you  have suggestions, please submit it to Kris Kutschera at kutschera@att.net .  We will review suggestions at the annual meeting.

Alumni Gatherings

Any members who are interested in organizing an activity for alumni, please e-mail the information to Kris Kutschera for the April 2008 newsletter.

Look for the Timber Rattler Baseball game gathering in Appleton this Spring - it’s sure to be a big hit!
