- Minimum recommended frequency for midrange and tweeter (power handling consideration; favors high crossover points).
- Assumed power distribution of program material and recommended power handling capacity of individual units.
- Intermodulation (doppler) distortion consideration favors low woofer
to midrange crossover.
- Good high frequency dispersion favors low crossover points. We would like:
λ / D ≥ 1.0, preferably: λ / D ≥ 1.5
- Impedance magnitude (compensated) of drivers at proposed crossover frequencies (matching selected nominal impedance value).
- Avoid predominant voice frequency (500 - 2000 Hz).
