Celtic
Knot is a trio of musicians from northeast Wisconsin who play
and sing traditional Irish & Celtic songs. With
a repertoire centered
around good-time and sing-a-long music, the lads feature Clancy
Brothers type songs as well as occasional instrumentals and
modern ballads. Celtic Knot was a featured act at the Celtic
Village, a part of Appleton's family-oriented 2001 "New Year's
Eve Around the Park" celebration. The group has performed

All
three of the Celtic Knot regulars have lengthy musical resumes and
are active in the Green
Apple Folk Music Society. They've played together as Celtic
Knot since 1995.
- Peter Bartman played
in the house band at Gilmour Brothers and for
many years with the Crystal River Trio, serving
as an opening act for the Kingston Trio and Judy
Collins. He's also a mainstay of the
bluegrass band Mudd Creek
and the Jugs.
- Gary Arndt,
a co-founder of the Crystal River Trio in 1981
and has been an avid lover of folk music since teaching himself
to play the guitar at the age of 15. Gary now plays the 6 &
12 string guitar, Mandolin, Banjo, and Harmonica. Gary has performed
with such great names as The Kingston Trio and
Judy Collins. Gary says. "When I first heard
the Highwayman, Kingston Trio, and Peter, Paul & Mary, I
knew that's what I wanted to do. Music has been a great part
of my life ever since."
- Terry Dawson performs
as a singer-songwriter, as a duet with Doug
Wheeler, was a member of the Sojourners
and the Blues Toads, and has played as a guest
musician with the Chieftains
