Go To Rhino Records / Rhino, The Place To Go (1975)

In 1975, Rhino Records wasn't a label, but a used record shop, and (according to legend) the only one Wild Man Fischer was allowed to hang around in. In gratitude, he recorded this brief song-cum-commercial, which was pressed up on 500 45's, all of which were given away at the store. The B-Side (a parody of various 1960s songs about Rhino), credited to The Plastic Rhino Band, has no Fischer involvement.

A promotional CD version of this single was also issued to celebrate Rhino's 21st anniversary.

Fan Reviews

... and JACKIE LOMAX! for 40 CENTS! Do-do, do-do! Do-do, do-do! GO TO RHINO RECORDS! ON WESTWOOD BOULEVARD! The first time I listened to this song, I almost jumped away from my speakers! "Jesus!" I said, "He's way out of tune!" I couldn't believe that anyone could sound like that. Well, now I'm about to buy Wildmania. Thanks Wild Man!
