Wild Man Fischer has two tracks on the Beat Brothers compilation album Worse Than Slime, "I Wish I Was A Comic Book" and "Norman."
Another compilation appearance occurs on an early 70s EP called "Laminas," on the Laminas label - Larry has three tracks ("Linda and Laurie," "Merry Go Round," and "Autumn Leaves"). Further info would be appreciated.
He appears in the Barnes & Barnes retrospective video "Zabagabee." Jason Polland: "At one point he does a "parody" of Fish Heads, at another he sings "It's A Hard Business," and other times he's just running around going crazy. But ya gotta love him."
An album included in Frank Zappa's "Beat The Boots" box set, Our Man In Nirvana, contains live performances of "The Wild Man Fischer Story" and "I'm The Meany." (Note: This album was recorded in 1968 - "I'm The Meany" wouldn't show up on an album until almost ten years later.)
Wild Man Fischer was profiled on an episode of USA's "Night Flight."
He also appeared on "Laugh-In." James Farber: "The hosts introduced 'the director of the Burbank Choir'. It turned out to be WMF (uncredited) who sang 'The Leaves Are Falling'."
A series of comic books was released focusing on the author's experiences with Fischer. John Mooneyham: "Dennis Eichhorn featured some personal tales of Larry in his comic book Real Stuff a few years back. J.R. Williams inked the six installments." For more info, see Tales of The Wild Man, or check out one of the covers.
Wild Man Fischer also pops up in writer Hammond Guthrie's book Vignettes, in a piece entitled "Mondo Hammond and the Technicolor All Night Movie," a recollection of the author's time in 1960s Hollywood.
Wild Man Fischer makes a brief appearance via answering machine on Robert Williams's recent CD "Date With The Devil's Daughter".
Wild Man Fischer appears on two tracks (Burned Out and Testimonial) on an LP entitled "Burned Out" by the band Armpit. Kim Cooper: "...the 1985 vers. of "Burned Out" by The Armpit is Monroe Records (PU-103) and there is a photo of WMF on the back clutching some fast food Mexican meal and a drink cup (looks like maybe the old Del Taco logo on the cup). Because the members of the band use fake names, WMF is the only link to reality."
