Wildmania (1977)

Bands nowadays know this to be a golden rule: the second album is always the hardest. For Wild Man Fischer, this is an understatement. Even though this album has some classics on it that can easily be compared to the songs on AEWWMF, Larry sounds like he has one big illusion less. His voice really got hoarse from all that "singing-for dimes" and it affects a lot of his new work. On other songs, probably dated earlier, he sounds much more like the "old" Larry. And last but not least, is lacks the producing genius of Zappa. But even though it's not as briliant as An Evening With..., it's still a great album and I annoy my girlfriend with it constantly "Damn it, your name is NOT Larry!!"
