ARES stands for Amateur Radio Emergency Service. These are amateur radio (HAM radio) operators in Outagamie County that work with local Emergency Government, Red Cross, National Weather Service, and other private and public disaster relief organizations. These operators volunteer their time, equipment, and communication skills when called on to help. At this time our group consist of about 50 members. They provide assistance to our community in times of disaster. These people have been trained by the National Weather Service, Red Cross, and Emergency Government on assisting when needed.
