WORK HISTORY

Marinette Marine Corp., Naval Architect, 1999-present

Lead Naval Architect on U.S. Coast Guard WLM & WLB buoy tenders, NYC Staten Island Ferry, U.S. Coast Guard Great Lakes Icebreaker (GLIB), U.S. Navy Improved Navy Lighterage System (INLS), and U.S. Navy Littoral Combat Ship programs.  Responsible for stability analyses, module handling construction procedures, vessel launch, and other naval architecture drawings and functions.  Strong technical writing skills.

Performed duties of Chief Naval Architect June 2005 through December 2005, including organizing and assigning all naval architecture tasks for all Marinette Marine programs and supervising all naval architecture department personnel.

Internships:

Stolt Parcel Tankers - Winter 1998
Houston, Texas
Developed thermodynamic analysis of energy requirements for different classes of parcel tankers.  Analyzed victual rates for each ship of the Stolt fleet.

American Bureau of Shipping - Winter 1997
Houston, Texas
Reviewed shipyard construction drawings for compliance with ABS rules with emphasis on the Bob Hope T-AKR class vessels.

Matson Navigation Company - Winter 1996
Cadet, S.S. Ewa, off the Pacific Coast
Served as cadet aboard a Matson container ship servicing Los Angeles, Seattle, and Vancouver.  Maintained logs of container locations.  Performed basic welding and maintenance tasks.

Westport Shipyard - Winter 1995
Westport, Washington
Worked as laborer fabricating large fiberglass yachts.  Learned fiberglass lamination skills as member of hull group.

Proficient with MS-Word, Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, GHS, NavCad, and SHCP.  Familiar with HECSALV.
