Ireland 2000

Leaving Kilrush on a gray morning, we hurried to catch the car ferry across the Shannon.  Dolphins played in the Shannon as we crossed.  Driving on, we toured the popular Dingle peninsula, one of many such peninsulas that jut out into the Atlantic.  We topped the Connor pass on an oversized sidewalk.  On the DIngle, we saw beehive huts and ocean scenery.  Beehive huts and the Gallarus Oratory are ancient stone structures built without mortar, but amazingly water-resistant.

Our B&B was in Cahirsiveen, a small and unpretentious town.  Here's a street scene and the view from our B&B.  Looks like Florida, huh?
