Welcome to the Starr Stuff web page! I'm Dan Starr: a retired guy with time on his hands. Married for 30 years to the same woman and father of two boys. When I was a lot younger I spent a lot of time in Newport Beach, CA at a unique body surfing place known as The Wedge. A picture is worth a thousand words, so I'll let them talk here. After graduating from UCLA in 1970, I joined the Navy and courageously volunteered to serve on submarines during the Vietnam War. I spent 5 years on the USS Henry Clay SSBN-625 which was a fleet ballistic missile submarine. Now that I'm retired from my old job in civilian nuclear power, I entertain myself by cutting and polishing gemstones.
