The
Jazz
Corner
Society, along with
an incredible cast of many local businesses, organizations, performers,
and artists have teamed up to bring an amazing musical celebration to
the ENTIRE Fox Valley in Wisconsin.
This
incredible event, now dubbed The Fox
Jazz
Fest, was spawned over
14 years ago by the region's best known jazz guru, mentor to
dozens, and respected pianist / composer / educator
John Harmon, and his desire to give the gift of 100% FREE world-class
music to the community that has supported him for so many years.
John and the team (dubbed the Backup Band) have again been working to
make
this year's Fox Jazz Fest spectacular. If you, your business, or

The Fox River
Brewing Company will be brewing
us their own Light and Dark Fox Jazz Fest Beer for the events and there
will be many kinds
of food and refreshments. So remember to bring your
appetite! Fresh cold beer, soft drinks and great eats. Can you beat
that?
Spread the word and tell
your friends! Spend your Labor Day weekend at
a free two day interactive concert experience in Menasha's
beautiful
Jefferson Park!

to benefit the Fox Jazz Fest
The Fox Note is a proud
sponsor of the Fox Jazz Fest and this year will be hosting a “FULL
BLOWN JAZZ JAM SESSION” in Princeton to benefit the 2008
festival. On hand will be many of the great local musicians who make
this area their home. Mike Kubicki and his trio (Mark Urness, bass and
Dane Richeson, drums) will anchor the festivities providing a solid
rhythm section for dozens of instrumental soloists as they exercise
their “blowin’chops”. Guest soloists will include John Harmon, Noah
Harmon, Brad Curran, Kurt
Dietrich, Bob Levy, Tim George, and many, many others.
This is a great opportunity to hear many different soloist’s
interpretations of jazz standards in an open ended and relaxed small
club setting, as well as supporting the Fox Jazz Fest.
Jam sessions are known for the unexpected. Be prepared for some
seriously wonderful surprises.
For the price of $25 you get a “come-and-go” pass all afternoon and
includes a great buffet provided by Two
Chez Restaurant.
